NMEA2000 Power isolator
Wema NMEA2000 power isolator is useful to ensure proper installation of the NMEA2000 network by separating different power sources that can potentially power the network. For example, some NMEA2000 compatible engines can potentially power a NMEA2000 network. The power isolator then ensures that the NMEA2000 current from the engine and the ordinary power supply in the network are kept separate.
Without a power isolator, there is a risk of draining the starter batteries through the NMEA2000 network, or possibly, the NMEA2000 network may shut down when the engine is switched off.
Wema NMEA2000 power isolator is installed between the T-connectors to isolate one side of the backbone from the other.
